VTR Factory Custom Paint

We’ve started offering a custom paint option for the VTR RTR Clear Body Version.

We know that not everyone has the time or space to paint a clear body at home. Some players simply want to choose a color they like, get the car ready, and go out and drive.

So now, you can choose the color, and we’ll paint and finish the VTR for you here at TWS.

VTR RTR Clear Body Version

How we do it

The body is painted here at TWS using the same tools and materials we normally use when building our own cars.

Nothing complicated — just proper preparation, painting, and finishing before the body goes onto the VTR.

For the body color, we use TAMIYA PS spray paint for polycarbonate bodies.

There are a lot of PS colors available, but we don’t keep every color in stock. If you already have a color in mind, just contact us first and we’ll check whether we can get it.

Which color looks good on a VTR?

That’s probably the hardest part.

A color on the chart can feel quite different when you see it on the whole car, so we made a series of VTR color previews to make choosing a little easier.

They’re only previews, of course, but they should give you a pretty good idea of what each color could look like on your VTR.
